Title: Out of the Well and into a New Beginning
Part 2

Summary: InuYasha gets more than he bargained for.

As Byakuya stepped out from the brush he was hiding in, he walked with purpose over to the well seconds after InuYasha had jumped and began an incantation. The sorcerer reached into his pocket, pulled out a scroll, and proceeded to rip it in half, throwing half into the sacred well and placed the other half around it.

Shippo jumped down from the tree he had run up to watch InuYasha leap and pointed his finger up at Byakuya with a scowl, "What are you up to sorcerer?!" A gust of strong wind sent the young Kitsune rolling backwards.

"I have no time for you you little bastard," Byakuya sneered before finishing the Incantation...."Core go ground, half demon be bound....Send InuYasha to a different place in the future. Seal him there." With that the pieces of scroll glowed yellow and sealed the well.

"I'm so sick of waiting, I know the other pieces are in that other time. Sesshomaru was screwing around the sacred well for some reason. My brother may be a dick, but he's not stupid. They've gotta be there. I'll just go have a look and...."

"You can't just go into that time InuYasha"....Shippo interrupted.

"Don't tell me what to do you little brat." InuYasha retorted.

"I'm not a brat, I'm a Kitsune demon. You better apologize before I...."

InuYasha picked Shippo up by his tail and lifted him to eye level giving a devious smirk, "You'll what kid?"

"Hey, no fair! Lemme go you big jerk! Lemme go right now!"

The demon half breed rolled his eyes at Shippo before dropping the little Kitsune to the ground. "I'm going and you're not stopping me...." He then pointed his index finger at Shippo, "And if you tell anyone I went after the shards I'll deal with you and you won't like how I do it. Stay here and protect the villagers, if you're strong enough."

Shippo stuck his tongue out at InuYasha before the hybrid lept into the well and into modern times.

Trina stumbled as she took the back way to Carters. Her hair turned an eery bleach blonde and her eyes had turned completely white, as if someone poured clorox into her pupil and iris. Her heart pounded in her chest so hard, she thought it would pop out from its cavity. Cold sweat seeped from her every pour, and she felt as if no air was getting into her lungs. Every once in a while she stopped either frozen in fear or confused as to where she was. The voices in her head grew louder when she stood still. She didn't know which was better, hearing her pulse booming in her ears or the voices. A sob stuck in her throat as she saw the clearing to the Penthouse.
